- Pass the last exam at most 7 days before the start of the graduation session.
- Be up to date with the payment of university fees.

Additionally, you must:

- Fill out the online request for thesis assignment and graduation application (within the deadlines provided).
- Obtain the Library Release Form from your reference library or send an email from your university email address to the reference library's email address (listed on each library's homepage). The release form must be requested even if the student has never used the borrowing service.

Finally, you must:

The application for obtaining the final degree title

First Phase: Degree and Thesis Assignment Application, including AlmaLaurea Questionnaire Completion and Acceptance of Behavioral Norms

In this phase, you need to access your Reserved Area "Self Studenti Uniss," proceed with Registration, and complete the AlmaLaurea questionnaire.

Subsequently, you can identify the open graduation sessions for which you can submit your application.

Finally, also review the behavioral norms to follow during the celebrations following the graduation sessions.

The system will perform an initial set of automatic checks (regular enrollment, active academic record, fee payment, confirmation of mandatory qualifications) and will allow you to proceed. If you encounter any issues during the checks, please contact the relevant Student Office.

Subsequently, you will be able to formally request the thesis from the professor (with whom you must have already agreed in person on the contents of the thesis); you will need to choose the professor from those currently employed at the University and propose the title of the thesis in both Italian and English, indicating the type of thesis (experimental or compilative). If you cannot find the names of the professors you want to ask for the thesis, contact the Didactic Referee of your Department.

The chosen Advisor will receive an automatic email informing them of your request, and from their reserved area, they can assign the thesis.

Attention

If you are unable to graduate in the session indicated in your graduation request, you must inform the Student Office at least 15 days before the start of the session. You must also cancel the request already made through the same online procedure, and for subsequent graduation sessions, you must submit a new request within the above-mentioned deadlines (in this case, as it is a renewal, the stamp duty does not need to be paid).

Second Phase: Automatic Check of Library Release

After completing the graduation request, you will need to request the release from your reference library, which will be recorded directly by the library staff. The release is particularly important because it ensures that no student obtains the degree (and therefore completes their university journey) while still in possession of library materials belonging to all students and the entire community.

Once all borrowed library materials have been returned, students can obtain the release by:

1. Filling out the request using the online forms of the University Library System, or
2. Visiting their reference library with a valid identification document and requesting the release in person, or
3. Sending an email to the institutional email address of the reference library (see attached file above) from their institutional email @studenti.uniss.it.

The release request is mandatory even if the student has never used the borrowing service.
It is no longer necessary to request the release from the University Library (Via Enrico Costa 57).

When
At most 7 days before the graduation: it is strongly recommended at least 20 days before!
ATTENTION: Once the release is recorded, it is no longer possible to borrow books, not even for the texts needed to complete the thesis.

Third Phase: Completion of the Graduation Thesis with Attachment Upload

If your study program requires the elaboration of a graduation thesis, access your Reserved Area "Self Studenti Uniss" and the "Degree Achievement" section: from the "Thesis Summary" section, you will need to upload the attachments of the thesis.

There is only one mandatory attachment, which is the final file of the graduation thesis, including all the necessary attachments (tables, graphs, etc.). Once the upload is completed, your Advisor will receive an automatic email informing them of your request for approval of the final thesis, and from their reserved area, they can approve the final thesis.

The final graduation thesis will automatically migrate to your electronic folder and will be permanently archived.

If your study program does NOT require the elaboration of a thesis, you will be admitted directly to the graduation session.

When
At most 7 days before the graduation: it is strongly recommended at least 20 days before!

Since it is no longer necessary to submit a copy of the Final Report and/or the Graduation Thesis to the Student Office, it is advisable to bring a copy with you to show to the Examination Committee during the graduation session.
