Documents and certifications

Certificates, attestations, copies, extracts, and other documents related to students' academic careers must be issued, according to the law, with a revenue stamp. Upon request of the interested party, certificates destined for use for which the law does not require a revenue stamp may be issued on plain paper.

Through their Self Student portal, students can independently download self-certifications regarding their university career (enrollments, exams, etc.), valid for all legal purposes and can be presented to public administrations. They can also find certificates on plain paper (for which the use of a revenue stamp is not required). Specifically, these certificates relate to:

- Enrollment
- Enrollment with exams
- Degree
- Degree with exams

Return of high school diploma

The original high school diploma, if provided for enrollment, remains deposited at the University for the duration of the studies and can only be returned at the end of the studies, except in cases of forfeiture or withdrawal from studies. To obtain the return of the diploma, a formal request on plain paper must be submitted, indicating not only the necessary data for identifying the diploma (personal details) but also the degree course in which the individual was enrolled and their student ID number.

The diploma must be personally collected by the individual, accompanied by a valid form of identification, or by a person delegated by the individual. The delegation, to which a copy of the delegator's valid identification document must be attached, must contain an explicit statement relieving the Administration of any responsibility regarding the unlawful use of the diploma handed over to others, as well as regarding any loss or destruction of the diploma itself.

Request for a duplicate university ID badge

In case of destruction, loss, or theft of the university ID badge, the student can request the issuance of a virtual duplicate by submitting a formal application. The request must be accompanied by a receipt proving the payment of the €30.00 fee and the following documentation:

- In case of destruction, a substitute declaration of the legal statement, as per article 47 of the Presidential Decree of December 28, 2000, no. 445, or any other document proving the destruction of the university ID card.
- In case of loss or theft, a substitute declaration of the legal statement, as per article 47 of the Presidential Decree of December 28, 2000, no. 445, or any other document attesting that the individual has duly reported the loss or theft.

Once the issuance of the duplicate is authorized, the virtual badge will be activated according to the instructions provided in the relevant guide.

Collection of the graduation diploma

The graduation diplomas are issued personally or through a delegated person at the Student Affairs Office in Palazzo Zirulia. It is not allowed to collect the diploma through express courier or to have it sent by mail.

Request for a duplicate of the graduation diploma

In case of destruction, loss, or theft of the graduation diploma, the student can request the issuance of a duplicate by submitting an application addressed to the Magnificent Rector to be presented at the Student Affairs Office in Palazzo Zirulia.

The request must be accompanied by a receipt confirming the payment of the required fee and the following documentation:

- In case of destruction, a substitute declaration of the legal statement, as per article 47 of the Presidential Decree of December 28, 2000, no. 445, or any other document proving the destruction of the diploma.
- In case of loss or theft, a substitute declaration of the legal statement, as per article 47 of the Presidential Decree of December 28, 2000, no. 445, or any other document attesting that the individual has duly reported the loss or theft.

If the graduation diploma has deteriorated or been partially destroyed, the student can obtain a duplicate by making the payment indicated for cases of destruction, loss, or theft. Additionally, the student must surrender the old graduation diploma, which will be invalidated and stored in their personal file.
