Mobility for study

At the University of Sassari, mobility for study is mainly supported by the EU Erasmus+ Programme and the Ulisse University Programme

Erasmus+

Erasmus+ study mobility grants are designed to encourage study abroad with the aim of giving students the opportunity to attend another foreign university, to participate in teaching activities, to sit exams, to prepare their dissertation, to carry out traineeships (limited to the the placements included in their curricula). It is also possible to travel within the framework of projects funded through the International Credit Mobility (ICM) programme or to spend a period of virtual mobility combined with a period of physical mobility abroad (blended mobility) thanks to the opportunities offered by Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP).

Ulisse

Thanks to the Ulisse Programme, you can spend a period of time studying at a foreign university anywhere in the world, as long as the minimum safety conditions are met (see ViaggiareSicuri) and the Learning Agreement is approved in advance by your UNISS Department within the framework of an Ulisse call for grants.

Mobility for traineeship

At the University of Sassari, mobility for traineeship is mainly supported by the EU Erasmus+ Programme and the Ulisse Programme. UNISS also participates in the CRUI-MAECI traineeship programme and is a member of several university consortia ("NHEI - Mine Vaganti NGO" and Green Train), within which further mobility opportunities are provided.

Erasmus+

Erasmus+ fosters traineeships (work experience, apprenticeships) in any working context abroad for students enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's Programme and for doctoral candidates in countries participating in the Programme. Traineeship mobility is also possible after graduation (post-lauream mobility). A traineeship abroad significantly improves the knowledge, skills and competences sought by employers. Mobility is also possible within the framework of projects funded through the International Credit Mobility (ICM) Programme.

Ulisse

Thanks to the Ulisse Programme, you can spend a period of time being trained at a foreign university anywhere in the world, as long as the minimum safety conditions are met (see ViaggiareSicuri) and the Training Agreement is approved in advance by your UNISS Department within the framework of an Ulisse call for grants.

CRUI-MAECI Traineeship Programme

The 'MAECI-MUR-Italian Universities Traineeship Programme' offers regular training opportunities at Italy's diplomatic missions abroad and at Italian Cultural Institutes. UNISS is among those universities which first joined the initiative in 2017.

University consortia

The University of Sassari is a member of the national consortia Green Train (REalise your Abilities and Competencies through Training)' and NHEI (National Higher Education Consortium), within which traineeship opportunities are offered after graduation.

All teaching staff working at the University of Sassari may apply for a mobility grant for teaching; company staff invited to teach at the University's Departments may also apply. In such a case, the enterprise must be based in a country participating in the Programme. Mobility for teaching may be combined with a staff training period to develop skills. From time to time, the University launches specific projects under the so-called "International Credit Mobility (ICM)" measures.
