International Credit Mobility (ICM)

International Credit Mobility Vietnam studentesse

International Credit Mobility (ICM) is a measure under Key Action 1 of the Erasmus+ Programme, KA171, aimed at promoting the mobility of students, lecturers and staff to and from universities in EU and eligible Third Countries not associated with the Programme. The aim of this action is to attract students and lecturers to European universities, supporting them in competing on the global higher education market and, at the same time, widening the range of possible destinations for students and lecturers in Europe with an opening towards countries in the rest of the world. Specifically, KA171 aims to promote exchanges with universities located in one of the Programme Partner Countries in order to:

  • To improve the internationalisation process and the appeal of the institutions involved;
  • To foster the acquisition of transversal skills (language, digital), which are strategic for the labour market;
  • To foster the professional development of the participants;
  • To contribute to the modernisation of teaching and the renewal of the study programmes of the participating universities;
  • To improve the quality of higher education systems.
