Workshops for primary school girls and boys

The activities will be organized in two rounds lasting two hours and can be booked by schools with a request to the email: terzamisso@uniss. it

Distillation laboratory of the officinal plants with Luisa Carta, curator of the Botanical Garden Uniss and Alfredo Maccioni, researcher of the painting chemical, physical, mathematical and natural sciences.

During laboratory activities, participants will have the opportunity to get to know officinal plants up close: learning to recognize them, understand their beneficial properties and discover their traditional and modern jobs. Some specimens will be collected and, through a guided distillation process, it will be observed how essential oil and aromatic water are obtained, thus exploring the potential of plants in herbal practice.

Laboratory for the discovery of the soil with Matteo Garau, researcher of the Agraria Dip.

The activity takes place in an interactive form, combining a theoretical phase in the CU, the soil and a practical part in which a series of experiential practical activities take place to put the participants with the soil and the organisms that populate it are discovered. Participants will be able to express their emotions in contact with the soil and discover that each soil has unique characteristics. Participants will be able to discover that they have "superpowers" to protect the land resource, which can put at the service of the community.

Workshops for first grade secondary school students

The activities will be organized in two rounds lasting two hours and can be booked by schools with a request to the email: terzamisso@uniss. it

Laboratory with Luisa Carta, curator of the Botanical Garden Uniss and Constantine Sercato, associate professor of the Agraria Dip.

Participants will be guided in a first funny approach to the world of meteorology. Through practical and creative activities, atmospheric phenomena will explore and learn to read the sky.

10:00- New Astra cine-theater- Corso Francesco Cossiga, 5

The new Astra cine-theater opens the doors to citizenship to tell the story of a combination, the one between university and theater, born in the nineties of the last century. Students-actors will tell their experience on the scene and behind the scenes of the different workshops, also illustrating the materials (posters, videos, publications) the result of the university theater laboratory that reaches this year at the tenth edition.

Vegetable ecology laboratory at the Botanical Garden 

Edited by Vanessa Lozano and Luisa Carta of the Agricultural Department. 
Laboratory aimed at secondary school students and students, aimed at promoting awareness of biodiversity among young people. Students and students will participate in a thematic visit between the collections of the Botanical Garden, will be able to know the functionality of the new weather station and will be involved in recognition activities of plant species through cards and applications for smartphones.

The initiative is part of the project rooted in the environment: an adventure of Citizen Science, financed with the funds of the eight per thousand of the Valdese church, and is inserted among the pre-attendants Sharper Night.
