Sassari and Sardinia

The main headquarters of the University is located in Sassari, the main city in northern Sardinia, with a population of approximately 130,000 inhabitants. It is the second largest city on the island and holds significant economic, political, and cultural importance.

Sassari is situated on a limestone plateau, about ten kilometers from the sea, at an altitude of 225 meters above sea level, on the edge of the plain that slopes towards the sea of Porto Torres. The area enjoys a mild and temperate climate throughout the year.

Sardinia is an Italian island located in the Mediterranean Sea, with approximately 2000 kilometers of coastline characterized by sandy beaches, and a mountainous interior crossed by numerous hiking trails.
