"The University of Sassari has always worked in synergy with schools in the area to provide young students with the necessary information and the best opportunities to choose the most suitable course of study according to their aptitudes, guiding them throughout their university journey, from enrollment to graduation.

Even during the pandemic emergency, our University continued to offer specific Orientation initiatives, which complemented Open Days and traditional presentations of study courses organized in secondary schools in collaboration with the school staff involved. These initiatives included thematic webinars and online meetings on various dedicated platforms.

Furthermore, the Office also provides a range of services dedicated to students, from prospective new enrollees to those who have already completed their studies:"

- A tutoring service, managed by a team of young graduates and experts in university orientation, is available to students, families, and class groups who request personalized informative interviews either in person or through platforms like Skype and Meet.

- Unisco courses, a virtual bridge between Schools and Universities: high school students in their final years have the opportunity to attend university courses designed specifically for them. Upon meeting a minimum attendance requirement and passing a final exam, they can earn transferable educational credits under certain conditions at the University of Sassari.

- active orientation in the school-to-university transition: This measure, under the competence of the Ministry of University and Research (MUR), aims to make the Italian university system more attractive to students and more competitive internationally. Through orientation activities related to the project, the transition from high school to university will be facilitated and encouraged, with an investment program targeting students starting from the third year of high school. As part of the PNRR (National Recovery and Resilience Plan), the University of Sassari will activate 78 courses involving approximately 1500 students in the third, fourth, and fifth years of high school. Currently, nine schools (Lyceums, Professional, and Technical Institutes) are involved in the initiative.

- I PLS e i POT:The Scientific Degree Plan (PLS) is a national initiative aimed at stimulating students' interest in scientific disciplines through a virtuous exchange between schools and universities. Within the framework of the PLS, Plans for Orientation and Tutoring (POT) have been created to promote activities dedicated to students interested or involved in university courses not only in scientific fields.

- I PCTO:Paths for Transversal Skills and Orientation aim to help high school students consolidate their acquired knowledge and test their skills in the field to guide them in their academic journey.

the UnissTest platform, active since 2020, offers students the opportunity to virtually engage with entrance exams for numerus clausus courses through simulations aligned with the test contents. Additionally, a Summer School is organized annually, which is free and requires online registration, offering a limited number of spots.

To conclude, the Student Orientation Service (S.O.S. UNISS) is active at the office located at via Arborea (corner of via Torre Tonda). Provided by student advisors, it is designed for both prospective and enrolled students. The service offers informational and support resources, providing a welcoming space to assist students throughout their university journey, particularly with practical support, advice, and useful information to facilitate their studies at our university.
