Pathways for Transversal Skills and Orientation

Available Projects

Attendance at orientation courses within the framework of the PNRR action "Active orientation in the school-university transition" entitles students to receive certification valid as PCTO (Paths for Transversal Skills and Orientation).

These courses are not accessible independently by students but through an agreement between the University and the respective School.

What are PCTO?

The Paths for Transversal Skills and Orientation (formerly known as ASL) aim to help high school students consolidate the knowledge acquired at school and to test their skills in the field, thus guiding them in their study path.

The 2019 Budget Law changed the name from "school-work alternation" to "paths for transversal skills and orientation" and reduced the minimum duration of the path to:

- Not less than 210 hours in the final three years of vocational schools
- Not less than 150 hours in the second two years and the final year of technical institutes
- Not less than 90 hours in the second two years and the fifth year of high schools

PCTO at the University of Sassari

The University of Sassari, since 2016, has hosted high school students in the school-work alternation programs and is available to participate in the implementation of PCTO – in administrative structures and laboratories – with the aim of guiding students in choosing their study path and enriching skills applicable in the job market.

WHAT UNIVERSITY STRUCTURES MUST DO TO PROPOSE PROJECTS
The representatives of the Departments and Offices wishing to propose and promote PCTO Projects must fill out an online form.

PROJECT PROPOSAL FORM

Subsequently, the proposals will be published in this web space and promoted – through various channels – in the schools of Sardinia.

WHAT SCHOOLS NEED TO DO TO CARRY OUT PCTO AT UNISS

Once the UNISS Projects are available, in order to apply to carry out PCTO at the University of Sassari, schools must submit their application proposals to the coordinators of the individual Projects (SEE AVAILABLE PROJECTS). Once confirmation is received for the selected students, the school must establish an agreement with the University, followed by the preparation of the training project, in compliance with safety regulations.

The agreement must be prepared according to the ministerial template.

The document (in PDF/A format) must be digitally signed by the School Principal (in PAdES format) and sent to the address protocollo@pec.uniss.it – specifying in the subject line "PCTO – Percorsi per le Competenze Trasversali e per l'Orientamento" for signature by the Legal Representative of the University.
