DITALS exam for Italian school teachers DITALS CERTIFICATION INTENDED FOR ITALIAN SCHOOL TEACHERS The DITALS Center of the University for Foreigners of Siena has established a DITALS Certification test intended for all those who teach or wish to teach in Italian schools of all levels, CPIAs and Italian schools abroad.The objective of this new certification, which is a second profile of the DITALS BASE exam and the DITALS II LEVEL exam, is to provide or deepen the knowledge and skills needed to teach pupils whose mother tongue is other than Italian and to facilitate their inclusion in Italian schools. ENTRY PREREQUISITES FOR THE DITALS BASIC EXAM FOR ITALIAN SCHOOL TEACHERS The DITALS BASE certification for the Italian school consists of an exam that certifies an initial competence in teaching Italian L2, supplemented by specific skills with reference to teaching in Italian schools of all levels, in CPIAs and in Italian schools abroad.The requirements for admission to the DITALS BASE exam for Italian schools are the same as for the DITALS BASE exam, with the exception of the C1 CEFR level of language proficiency in Italian for non-Italian mother tongue candidates.Those who meet the following prerequisites may be admitted to the DITALS BASE exam for Italian schooling:1. Linguistic competence in Italian.Non-Italian native speaker candidates are required to have C1 level Italian language proficiency attested by one of the following qualifications:- international certification - secondary school degree obtained in Italy or at Italian schools abroad- degree in Italian studies obtained abroad2. Qualification.High school diploma (valid for admission to university in the country in which it was obtained) DITALS BASIC EXAM FOR ITALIAN SCHOOL TEACHERS - SESSION OF OCTOBER 27, 2023 (REGISTRATION CLOSED) HOW TO REGISTER FOR THE DITALS BASE EXAM FOR TEACHERS OF THE ITALIAN SCHOOL ON 10/27/2023Registration is now open for the DITALS BASE exam session for Italian school teachers to be held at the University of Sassari Language Center on October 27, 2023.The application should be sent by email to ditalscla@uniss.it by 12:00 noon on 05.10.2023, together with a photocopy of an identity document and any attachments that candidates deem useful to produce, following the instructions on the last page of the application form.The candidate will be allowed to submit the proposal only if he/she meets all the entry requirements.At the time of enrollment, candidates must pay the University for Foreigners of Siena only the first part of the fee (€ 20.00 DITALS BASE PER DOCENTI DELLA SCUOLA ITALIANA) and send the receipt of the bank transfer certifying the payment of the same to ditalscla@uniss.it.This pre-fee, which is non-refundable, is not provided in case of repeating one or more examination papers.The second part of the fee (€ 90.00 DITALS BASE FOR ITALIAN SCHOOL TEACHERS) will be requested after the University for Foreigners of Siena has evaluated the applications for the exam. Linguistic competence in Italian.For non-Italian native speakers, proficiency in Italian at the C2 level attested by one of the following qualifications is required:- international certification - secondary school degree obtained in Italy or at Italian schools abroad- degree in Italian studies obtained abroad2.
