Partner Universities

  • Czech Technical University, Prague, and Charles University Pragua
The collaboration focuses on the use of Nanofibres and nanodevices made for the controlled delivery of bioactive molecules from natural extracts. These devices are applied for tissue regeneration and as antibacterial agents.
  • Fundação Universidade Federal Do Amapá (UNIFAP)
The collaboration concerns in vitro studies on cellular and molecular mechanisms involved in epigenetically based disorders and diseases.
  • Tel Aviv University, Tel Aviv, Israel
The collaboration focuses on the study of the physiological changes caused by multiple sclerosis, particularly at the muscular, neurophysiological, cardio-respiratory and metabolic levels. This knowledge enables the planning of customised functional recovery approaches.
  • Faculty of Science & Health, School of Pharmacy & Biomedical Sciences. Institute of Life Sciences and Healthcare, University of Portsmouth
The collaboration focused on the synthesis and characterisation of different natural and synthetic substances for the preparation of innovative drug-delivery systems tested in different cell lines. In vitro tests were useful to assess their possible biological and pharmacological activities and their biocompatibility. The collaboration also allowed some students from the University of Portsmouth to attend a short internship in Sassari that was useful for the writing of the final thesis.
  • University of Granada, Spain
The more than ten-year collaboration between the two universities ranges from research to the sharing of teaching activities, covering both Master's and PhD Programmes.
