The goal of the "University Corridors for Refugees - UNICORE 3.0" project is to promote the right to higher education for refugees through university corridors from Ethiopia to Italy. It is one of the actions of the Manifesto for Inclusive University, promoted by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and approved by the University.

The project is supported by the University of Sassari and other Italian universities, with the support of national project partners: United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), Caritas Italiana, Diaconia Valdese, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI), University of Sassari (UNISS), and other universities that have signed the cooperation agreement for the UNICORE 3.0 project.

Benefits

Eligible candidates will receive full support throughout all stages of the application process, including financial coverage of all expenses prior to arrival.

  • Full coverage of expenses to be incurred before arrival in Italy; 
  • Total exemption from school fees; 
  • A scholarship per year supported by the local partnership, which includes accommodation and meals, additional expenses, as specified in the admission notice; 
  • Full support service from the Student Secretariat and Training Offer Office; Tutoring service provided by UNISS students to facilitate integration into student life and the local community; Psychological counseling service provided by the University of Sassari and Caritas.
