In a nutshell

Il Corso di laurea magistrale in Giurisprudenza a ciclo unico (LMG/01), offre ai propri studenti un progetto formativo radicato su un patrimonio di ricerca scientifica e di formazione professionale ampiamente elaborato e consolidato. Gli insegnamenti impartiti tendono a coprire tutto l'arco delle conoscenze rilevanti nell'ambito giuridico.
 

La Laurea Magistrale garantisce l'accesso a tutte le attività professionali di profilo giuridico elevato, assicurando le competenze necessarie allo svolgimento delle professioni legali tipiche della laurea medesima: vale a dire magistratura, notariato e avvocatura. Consente, inoltre, di operare in quei settori per i quali risulta fondamentale una approfondita preparazione giuridica relativa ai diversi campi del diritto: ad esempio, ruoli dirigenziali nelle amministrazione dello Stato, degli Enti locali e di tutti gli altri Enti pubblici e privati, ovvero in Organizzazioni non governative del c.d. terzo settore; libera professione in qualità di consulenti del lavoro o di tributaristi. L'approfondimento delle materie internazionalistiche permette l'accesso in qualità di funzionari ad organismi internazionali quali Unione europea, Consiglio d'Europa, O.N.U., F.A.O., Unesco. La presenza nel piano di studi anche di materie economiche fornisce le competenze idonee a svolgere l'attività di amministratore di enti o imprese private.

A graduate of the Justice Services program must demonstrate:
- in-depth knowledge of national and European juridical culture through various means, including case-studies, that fosters comprehension and assessment of positive justice principles and institutions. 
- in-depth understanding of history as relates to the capacity to evaluate positive justice institutions, their evolution, and future perspectives.

A graduate of the Program must:
- be able to write clear and effective juridical papers that are well-argued and pertinent to the required context 
- be well-versed in using IT tools to this end. 

The didactic tools and avenues used for meeting the learning objectives include: 
-classes/lectures

-seminars
- individual interviews (in particular with one’s thesis Chair)
Special attention is devoted to student internships, which are essential for practical application of mastered theoretical knowledge.
The tools utilized for assessing student progress include
- written and oral presentations during seminar courses
- in-course tests and final examinations after each course;
- final reports by supervisors at authorized internship sites.

Skills associated with the function
Graduates of the course, in addition to entering the legal professions and the judiciary, will be able to carry out activities and be employed in functions of considerable responsibility, in institutions, public administrations, private companies, trade unions, in the fields of information technology law and of comparative, international and EU law, as well as in international organisations where the law graduate’s analytical skills, assessment skills and decision-making skills prove to be crucial. The degree provides the necessary skills for the legal professions: i.e. the judiciary, notary and lawyers. It also enables students to work in sectors for which an in-depth legal training in the multifaceted fields of law is essential, such management functions in banks, insurance companies, in State administrations, local authorities and all other public and private bodies, or in non-governmental organisations as well as in the diplomatic carrier, or self-employment as labour consultants or tax consultants. The study of international law grants access as officials to international organisations (ie the European Union, the Council of Europe, the UN, the FAO and UNESCO). Students are also required to attend exams of economics, a fundamental support for managing activities as manager in organisations or corporations.

Graduates of the Program are expected to:
- gain in-depth knowledge of  national and international juridical culture through various means, including case studies, as well as of issues pertaining to understanding and assessing positive justice principles and institutions;
- gain a an understanding of history in order to evaluate positive justice institutions and their past and future evolution;
- master the ability to produce- through various means, including computerized resources- juridical papers (pertaining to normative, negotiation-based and/or procedural justice) that are clear, effective, solidly argued and pertinent to the given context;
- gain skills with regard to interpretation, case-analysis, and relating actual events to legally codified situations; develop understanding and representation/assessment skills necessary for theoretical and applied comprehension of the law;
- gain the necessary skills for updating their competencies.
In addition to preparing themselves for future practice in legal professions and magistrature, graduates can find employment in high-responsibility roles in various fields, including socio-economic, social and institutional contexts such as public administration, private businesses, unions, information technology law, comparative, international and European law, as well as in international organizations where, in addition to  having mere sectorial, content-based knowledge,  legal experts are called to apply their analytical, assessment and decisional skills.
