Academic Palm Ceremony

On Thursday, Sept. 19, starting at 5 p.m., the Aula Magna of the University of Sassari hosted the “Academic Palms Ceremony.” 
The Palmes Académiques, established even by Napoleon Bonaparte, are awarded on the proposal of the Institut français Italia to professors who have distinguished themselves in the teaching of the French language.

In this case, Professor Lorenzo Devilla lecturer in the Uniss Department of Humanities and Social Sciences received the prestigious award, with the rank of Chevalier. The Order of Academic Palms, with the rank of Officier, was also awarded to Professor Carmen Marongiu, lecturer of French language at the Eleonora d'Arborea Language Institute in Cagliari.
 

Greetings from Magnifico Rector Gavino Mariotti opened the ceremony. 
The event was attended by the Consul General of France in Rome, Fabrice Maiolino.
