The project In the Botanical Garden of the University of Sassari, the area designated in the project as the "AREA of SYSTEMATIC AND THEMATIC COLLECTIONS" extends for about 2.5 hectares, with 1.40 dedicated to 121 thematic flowerbeds.From 2021 to 2023 (December), 600 Salvia rosmarinus, 945 Spartium junceum, 350 Lavandula dentata, 350 Lavandula officinalis, 200 Laurus nobilis, 100 Cistus incanus, 100 Cistus monspeliensis, 100 Cistus salviaefolius, 300 Nerium oleander, and another 800 species have been planted in various sectors dedicated to individual systematic families, totaling at least 3845 plants, including trees, shrubs, and herbaceous species.In 2021, the University of Sassari and the Regional Agency FoReSTAS signed an agreement through which the two institutions collaborate in the realization of the garden, supplying both spontaneously and cultivated plants and undertaking the preparation and planting works.
