Since 1996, the University Student Forestry Association of Nuoro (AUSF Nuoro) has aimed to bring together forestry students to promote study, scientific dissemination, and create synergy among students, graduates, local authorities to acquire knowledge and experiences.

With dedication and strong motivation, AUSF operates locally and nationally to raise awareness and deepen issues related to sustainable forest management, promoting activities of scientific and operational interest such as organizing excursions, courses, seminars/webinars, and workshops, in collaboration with professors, academic and research institutions, public authorities, and private companies.

AUSF Nuoro is a member of AUSF Italy and IFSA (International Forestry Students’ Association), which brings together over 100 local branches in more than 50 different countries. IFSA's goal is to enhance the professional competence of its nearly 10,000 members through the organization of meetings, participation in international-level events and conferences, thus providing students with unique opportunities to enhance their resumes, share perspectives, and skills with other young people from very different backgrounds.
