Erasmus+ Traineeship program - FAQ How can I find a host company? The search for an individual destination should be done autonomously, by contacting any companies/enterprises/universities of interest. Each student can refer to the department Erasmus Delegates and administrative staff as well as to the Erasmus tutor Ambassador for support in finding a host company. You can also search for an internship offer via the erasmusintern.org portal. I received the signed Learning Agreement after the due date, can I still provide this document? NO, following the closing date of the call it is not possible to change the documentation submitted or provide additional documentation. I have already graduated, can I still apply for a post-graduate Traineeship? NO, in order to be eligible for a post-graduate traineeship you must still be enrolled at the time of application. I have been selected for a post-graduate traineeship, can I decide to carry out the mobility before graduation? NO, the choice to carry out the traineeship before or after graduation must be made at the time of application and cannot be changed afterwards. Is it possible to choose a different host company after the selections? NO, a change of destination is only allowed in exceptional circumstances, due to force majeure reasons (e.g. the host company is no longer available to host you). Can I change the dates of the mobility period? Yes, the dates of the mobility can be changed, if agreed with the tutor at the receiving organisation. A change of dates requires an update of the Learning Agreement for Traineeship, which must be approved and signed again by all parties and sent to the Mobility and International Relations Office. If the change of dates occurs after the grant agreement has already been signed, this must be communicated promptly, as it requires the amendment of the Grant Agreement. When will the grant be allocated? The Mobility and international relations office will require the payment of 80% of the total grant amount right after the signature of the grant agreement by all parties and before the start of the mobility. The remaining 20% will be paid at the end of the mobility, upon presentation of the final documentation. Can I receive the final payment before the end of the mobility? No. See answer to the question above. When will the ECTS be recognised? The ECTS must be recognised by your department within 5 weeks from the date of delivery of your final documentation (After the Mobility). Is it possible to extend my stay abroad? Yes, it is possible to request an extension of the mobility period, as long as you have remaining Erasmus months available, among the 12 allowed for each study cycle (or 24, in the case of a one-cycle degree) and as long as the mobility ends by the date specified in the call for applications. I have already carried out an Erasmus mobility for study, can I participate in the Erasmus Traineeship call as well? Yes, each student may participate in mobility periods totalling up to 12 months of physical mobility maximum per each study cycle (24 in case of one-cycle study programs, such as Medicine), regardless of the number and type of mobility activities (study and/or traineeship). The Erasmus experience may therefore be repeated. Is compensation provided by the host company compatible with the Erasmus grant? Yes, there is no incompatibility between the remuneration provided by the host institution and the Erasmus grant, as long as the remuneration is not granted through EU funds. If the host institution is closed for holidays, am I still entitled to receive the grant during that period? Yes, the closure of the host institution for holidays or public holidays is not considered an interruption of the mobility. If the closure exceeds 2 weeks, you must notify the Mobility and International Relations Office. Is it possible to interrupt the traineeship? Interrupting the mobility before the minimum period of 2 months, without a valid reason, will result in the cancellation of the mobility and the request to refund the full amount received. In the event of interruption due to force majeure, the Erasmus+ National Agency will consider whether to recognise the grant for the days carried out abroad. Is the ERSU grant compatible with the Erasmus grant? Yes, there is no incompatibility between the two grants.
