Press officer

The press officer manages relations with local and national newspapers and disseminates institutional news from the University. She convenes press conferences, writes and distributes official press releases, and provides support in arranging interviews. The press officer is registered in the National Register of Journalists, as required by Law 150 of June 7, 2000, "Regulation of Information and Communication Activities in Public Administrations."

The provisions of this law, implementing the principles governing transparency and effectiveness of administrative action, regulate the information and communication activities of public administrations.

Another important piece of legislation in this area is the so-called "Frattini Directive," "Directive of the Department of Public Function of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers - Communication Activities of Public Administrations" of February 7, 2002.

More recently, a new step forward in public communication was made with the establishment of new professional profiles for Communication and Information activities in the Local Government Contract (Article 18 bis).
