The University of Sassari close to the city and the University of Valencia 4 November 2024 The University of Sassari spent the long weekend of Saints in trepidation for the fate of the city of Valencia overwhelmed by a violent flood, a university city par excellence and an Erasmus location much loved by our outgoing students. There are 17 students from the University of Sassari who are currently in the third largest city in Spain by number of inhabitants; contacted by the International Relations Office, they all responded (mostly directly, some indirectly) letting it be known that they were fine. A relief that, however, does not make us lower our guard. The University remains vigilant and does not fail to support its Erasmus students through the International Relations Office. As a precaution, female and male students on mobility in Castellon and Girona were also contacted with positive results. The Magnificent Rector and the entire university community express closeness to the city and the University of Valencia, to our outgoing students and incoming students from Valencia and the other areas of Spain affected by the flood.
