Uniss for the elimination of violence against women

SASSARI. The University of Sassari joins the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women which is celebrated on November 25th. For Thursday 28 November, the University's Single Guarantee Committee (CUG) organized the event “#NOEXCUSE - Orange the World. Violence against women and good practices in universities: a focus on economic violence". Opening at 9.30 am, a symbolic installation will be inaugurated in the university atrium, a project part of the Uniss Positive Action Plan (Training and Awareness Intervention Line).

The meeting will continue in the Aula Magna. Greeting addresses are expected from the Magnificent Rector of the University of Sassari, Gavino Mariotti, from the General Director of Uniss, Giovanni Maria Soro, from Ester Cois, President of the National Conference of Equality Bodies of Italian Universities (Counipar) and from Maria Antonietta Foddai, Delegate for the Gender Equality Plan-GEP of the University of Sassari.

Speakers include Elena Bigotti, Lawyer and Trusted Councilor of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, the University of Eastern Piedmont and the University of Valle d'Aosta, Mia Caielli, President of the CUG of the University of Turin, Graziella Benedetto, President of the CUG of the University of Sassari, Tommaso Gazzolo, Member of the GEP Team of the University of Sassari, Maria Laura of Tommaso, Department of Economics and Statistics "Cognetti de Martiis" of the University of Turin, scholar of gender economics and feminist.
