Sharper inaugurated, the night of UNISS researchers

Sassari. A river of boys and girls who transmits joy, gives hope and makes us forget concerns and dark thoughts: it is almost magic to observe students and students of the schools that invade the Tavolara pavilion, on the occasion of the European night of researchers and units researchers. They are approximately 3000 appearances expected between today and tomorrow between the demonstration stands, distributed between the terrace and the ground floor of the municipal structure of via Tavolara and pre-employees located in other locations. A popular commitment that involves 150 researchers and researchers furthermore 50 events .

Tomorrow events from 9.00 to 22.00

Tomorrow in the Tavolara pavilion he replies with students and students of the second grade secondary schools from 9.00 to 13.30, with over 1000 reservations. In the afternoon, from 16.30 to 22.00, the activities will be open to all citizens. From 17.00 to 22.00, the "talk" of Sciencerena  dedicated to very topical topics: oncological prevention, the Einstein Telescope , artificial intelligence and health. The intervention of Roberta Villa , journalist and popularizer, who will dialogue with his son Francesco Salaris (medical student at the University of Sassari) and will answer the questions of the public.

Part of the night of the researchers will take place simultaneously in the aula Magna  of the University, from 9.30 to 17.00. Here starting at 15.30, the theme will be addressed "The role of universities for an inclusive society - Focus on the penitentiary university center" starting from a recent publication of the Crui (conference of the rectors of Italian universities). Among others, the prorettore Uniss will speak to the third mission as well as president of the Italian network of entities and research centers for the Public Engagement-APENET, Pier Andrea Serra, Giancarlo Monina (National President of the National Conference of delegates of the Rectors for Prison University Poles, CNUPP)

A national and European network

Sharper will unite the energies of cities such as Ancona, Bari, Cagliari, Catania, Genoa, L'Aquila, Palermo, Perugia, Sassari, Trieste and many others. The initiative is coordinated by the social company Psquadro , together with a consortium of university, research centers and cultural associations, including INFN, CNR, INAF and INGV . During the digital events of Sharper 2025, the University of Sassari will present an unpublished documentary on the Neins - Ecosystem of Innovation for Next Generation Sardinia project, a PNRR project that exceeds 140 million, and represents one of the most ambitious innovation initiatives ever made in Sardinia. The documentary, strongly desired by the Rector, offers a cross -section on the spoke managed by Uniss, telling them through the rumors of the young researchers and coordinators who animate them. A story, edited by Antonio Varcasia, who demonstrates how the University of Sassari is building a bridge between science, business and community, guiding sustainable and inclusive innovation in Sardinia.

The program foresees beyond 800 events throughout Italy , including shows, concerts, workshops, open labs, games and exhibitions. All activities inspired by the concept of Education and rights , with a focus on the great challenges of Horizon Europe : from climatic adaptation to the fight against cancer, from the protection of the seas to the sustainability of future cities.

For the Sassarese university, the project is coordinated by the Third Mission and Territory Office , with the support of the Foundation of Sardinia and the contribution of the Municipality of Sassari . An opportunity to bring citizens and families closer to the world of research.
