Fondazione di Sardegna Notice 2022 and 2023 – Departmental basic research projects (d.r.16/2022)

The call consists of funding departmental research projects.

The projects must concern basic research activities or activities that aim to expand scientific and technical knowledge not connected to specific and immediate industrial and commercial objectives.

The financial resources allocated to financing departmental research projects amount to €2,200,000.00. Attachment A of the Notice shows, by Department, the amount of the overall funding.

Each Department can present from a minimum of one to a maximum of four projects taking into account the overall financial allocation assigned as per Annex A of the Notice.

The eligible cost items for carrying out the research activity include the possible financing/co-financing of type A fixed-term researcher contracts to be activated from scratch and extensions of type A fixed-term researcher contracts already active, research grants, doctoral scholarships and post-graduate research grants.

For each project the Department must identify a Scientific Contact.

The duration of projects can vary from a minimum of one to a maximum of three years. In the event that the co-financing of contracts is envisaged in the project, the duration of the project must coincide with the duration of the contract covered by the financing covered by the tender.

Each Department, after evaluation according to the methods and rules it deems appropriate, presents the selected projects, together with the extract of the Department Council's resolution, in compliance with the characteristics set out in the art. 3 of the Notice.

The projects must be presented using the specimen attached to the Notice (Annex B), signed by the Scientific Representatives and the Directors of the Departments and transmitted to the Research and Quality Office via PEC (protocollo@pec.uniss.it) by 17 February 2022.
