Tutor Ambassadors

Planisfero

In 2021, UNISS launched an orientation service for incoming and outgoing international mobility students with the aim of facilitating the relaunch of the international activities after the abrupt interruption due to the pandemic.

The Tutor Ambassadors' position may be assigned to students enrolled in any university study programme.

In order to become a Tutor Ambassador, students will have to apply to the "Erasmus+ Ambassador" calls which are periodically published in the INTERNATIONAL section of the University website, as well as in the "Calls & Grants" page.

The selected applicants will be included in a merit list and may receive a 400-hour contract to offer tutoring activities for the implementation of orientation, promotion and enhancement of services for incoming and outgoing international mobility students within the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme, the other international mobility programmes launched by the University of Sassari, and international students enrolled at the Departments of the University of Sassari.

The service is to be performed at:

  • the Department of destination;
  • the Mobility and International Mobility Office;
  • the University Language Centre.

Tutors will be assigned to the Departments in proportion to the total number of outgoing and incoming international mobility students managed during the last three years.

For instance, in the academic year 2021-2022:

  • the Departments of Agriculture, Chemistry and Pharmacy, Law, Veterinary Medicine, Biomedical Science and History, and Humanities and Education were assigned a single tutor;
  • the School of Medicine and the Departments of Humanities and Social Sciences, Architecture, Design and Urban Planning, and Economics and Business were assigned two tutors.

The activity is coordinated by the Mobility and International Relations Office, the Erasmus Delegates and Contact Persons of the departments of destination.
