Ranelletti Award to a graduate of UNISS

Two newly graduated women from Sardinia have received the scholarship from the Omero Ranelletti Foundation of Rotary International District 2080 for their thesis work in Medicine.

One is Dr. Giada Gamboni, graduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Sassari, who focused on AADC deficiency with Professor Stefano Sotgiu as her supervisor; the other is Dr. Lorenza Anedda, graduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Cagliari, for her thesis on spinal muscular atrophy (supervised by Professor Eleonora Cocco).

The award ceremony took place in Rome on June 20. Eugenio Gaudio, President of the Roma Sapienza Foundation and former Rector of Sapienza University, was present.
