In memory of Giuseppe Ibba

Giuseppe Ibba

SASSARI. This morning the Magnificent Rector of the University of Sassari, Gavino Mariotti, and the Director of the Department of Agriculture, Ignazio Floris, on behalf of the entire university community, dedicated a classroom of the department to the surveyor Giuseppe Ibba, who passed away prematurely. of Agriculture.

The classroom with over 40 seats is located in the new Palazzo Segni in Viale Italia, recently inaugurated and named after the president emeritus of the Republic of Sassari, father of agrarian reform.

The brief commemoration opened with the unveiling of the plaque and continued with the reading of a memory of Giuseppe Ibba by the engineer Simone Loddo, manager of the procurement and construction area, in which Ibba provided his service for over 30 years. In fact, he was close to retirement when he passed away in the summer of two years ago. In closing, the Rector presented the surveyor's wife with a silver seal of the University of Sassari. The gesture is intended to be, in a broader sense, a recognition of the often underestimated role of the technical-administrative staff, men and women who silently carry on the work of the university administration alongside the other components.

Everyone in the university knew and appreciated Giuseppe Ibba, the one who solved problems. He always had a smile and a kind word for everyone he met, he was able to make even the most difficult work task lighter.
