Eleven Zimbabwean students on mobility at the University of Sassari

Progetto Wagon2africa_11 studenti dello Zimbabwe all'Università di Sassari

The mobility of 11 began on 17 November master students of the University of Zimbabwe as part of the Wagon2Africa project, financed with funds from the National Recovery and Resilience Programme.

The project intends to create a network between Italian universities and African universities, through the implementation of some main activities: international student mobility, mobility of teaching staff, activation of advanced training courses aimed at graduates. The activities will be developed within a network of over 61 project partner universities from 14 East African countries.

UNISS is part of a Consortium of 10 universities, led by the Polytechnic of Turin - with complementary skills in the scientific, technical, social and managerial sectors - and has funds of over 155 thousand euros available for the implementation of the project.

THE master students of the University of Zimbabwe will spend a 3-month research period at the University of Sassari, aimed at the drafting and subsequent discussion of the degree thesis, with UNISS teachers as co-supervisors.

The start of the mobilities was preceded by a specific presentation event, which took place in the Law department, and by the visit of professors Albert Makochekanwa and Lizzie Hamandishe, who met the representatives of the Departments of Law and Economic and Business Sciences.

The project is financed by the PNRR (M4 C1 INV.3.4 SUB-INV. T4 - TRANSNATIONAL EDUCATIONAL INITIATIVES - TNE D. D. N. 167 of 03/10/2023 - Project TNE23-00067 WAGON2AFRICA - CUP E17G24000420006).
