The master’s degree programs in Architecture and Planning offered by DADU – the Department of Architecture, Design and Urban Planning at the University of Sassari – have secured second place among all Italian universities in the CENSIS 2025/2026 ranking, with an overall score of 101.5. This remarkable result confirms the high quality of the department’s academic offerings and its commitment to fostering an inclusive, multidisciplinary learning environment.

CENSIS ranks DADU's programs just behind the Polytechnic University of Milan and ahead of all other institutions offering degrees in architecture and civil engineering. The evaluation highlights DADU’s strong focus on innovative, project-based learning.

Further reinforcing these results are DADU’s bachelor’s degree programs in Architectural and Project Sciences and Urban Planning, which also stand out in the same ranking. With a score of 102.5, these programs have achieved fourth place among all undergraduate programs in the architecture and civil engineering area. This outcome confirms the coherence and strength of DADU’s entire academic offering, which effectively guides students from foundational learning to advanced specialization.

The significance of these achievements is even greater when viewed within the context of the University of Sassari’s overall ranking—fourth among medium-sized Italian public universities. In an academic landscape often dominated by larger institutions, DADU remains competitive, surpassing many programs offered by much larger universities. This is a clear sign of the department’s ability to deliver a solid, distinctive, and nationally recognized educational model.

The ranking reflects the very identity of the department: a center of excellence in architecture, design, and urban planning, grounded in strong regional engagement and an expanding international presence. It is a result that rewards the daily work of its academic and student communities and serves as a concrete incentive to continue along a path of growth and openness.
