Presentation of the European Alliance in Vietnam

In December 2024, a delegation from the Department of Biomedical Sciences of the University
of Sassari (UNISS) visited the Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Vietnam at the
closing ceremony of the “Carlo Urbani” International Cooperation Project. During the visit, the
Rector's Delegate for Internationalization, Prof. Claudia Crosio, presented the European alliance
EUNICoast (The European Alliance of Islands, ports and coastal territories), a strategic initiative
funded by the European Commission under the Erasmus+ program.
The presentation occurred during the “EUNICoast beyond Europe” event, part of the “Science
Week” organized at the Vietnamese university. The meeting was attended by Rector Prof.
Nguyen Vu Quoc Huy, and many academic and technical-administrative staff from both
universities, creating an important opportunity for dialogue and exchange of experiences.
The collaboration with Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, with its more than 10,000
enrolled students and its excellence in the medical sciences, will be an excellent opportunity to
extend EUNICoast activities beyond the borders of Europe and involve non-EU staff and faculty
in project activities.
