“World Hand Hygiene Day” at Ss. Annunziata Plesso Ospedalieri SS. Annunziata - Sassari 6 May 2024 09:00 The meeting room of the Santissima Annunziata, on the seventh floor of the hospital complex in Viale Italia, will host the celebration of "World Hand Hygiene Day" on 6 May 2024 (starting at 9.00), in collaboration between the University of Sassari, AOU Sassari and Autonomous Region of Sardinia.The greetings from the Authorities will precede the interventions that will illustrate studies, practices and results of the awareness projects towards this simple yet essential practice.The day is promoted by the WHO as part of the "SAVE LIVES: Clean Your Hands" campaign, to remind everyone of the importance of this practice and to encourage its adoption as a daily habit, so as to help reduce the risk of related infections to assistance (ICA).The theme of the 2004 campaign is “Promoting the knowledge and capacity building of health and care workers through innovative and impactful training and education on infection prevention and control, including hand hygiene”; The slogan is “Why is sharing knowledge about hand hygiene still so important? Because it helps stop the spread of harmful germs in the healthcare sector."The Regional Prevention Plan (PRP) 2020-2025 (approved with the DGR n. 50/46 dated 28.12.2021), with the Predefined Program PP10 "Measures to combat antimicrobial resistance", aims to promote and disseminate in all the healthcare realities the WHO program on hand hygiene.
