When Co-Evolution Meets Fear of Poisonous Plants: Common ragwort (Jacobaea vulgaris) on Pastures for Horses and Other Large Herbivores Manunta Hall (ground floor, entrance Staircase B) 29 September 2025 From 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Professor Sabine Aboling from the University of Hannover is a visiting Professor at the Department of Veterinary Medicine of our University and will be a speaker at the seminar titled "When Co-Evolution Meets Fear of Poisonous Plants: Common ragwort (Jacobaea vulgaris) on Pastures for Horses and Other Large Herbivores".The seminar is aimed at PhD students of any year of the School of Veterinary Sciences and Agricultural Sciences, and students of degree courses with educational affinities in the field of animal, veterinary and comparative nutrition.Professor Aboling deals with applied botany and ecology, with particular reference to the interaction between plants and animals, focusing on wild and domestic mammals and, in particular, on the study of the food preferences of herbivores and the selective abilities according to the anti-pastoral and anti-nutritional traits of the different plant species.
