There  Italian Movement Analysis Society in the Clinic (Siamoc) He announces a moment of confrontation of great scientific and clinical importance to the next National Congress of Cagliari.

Saturday 4 October, from 9:45 to 11:45 at the Hotel Regina Margherita in the Castello room, one will be held  round table with the presidents of the main Italian scientific societies  which deal with rehabilitation, neurology, orthopedics, traumatology, physiotherapy, physiology, motor sciences and movement disorders:

  • Sirn  - Italian Society of Neurological Rehabilitation
  • Since  - Italian Society of Neurology
  • Sync  - Italian Society of Clinical Neurophysiology
  • Simfer  - Italian Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
  • AIFI  - Italian Association of Physiotherapy
  • Siot  - Italian Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology
  • SISMES  - Italian Company of Sports and Sports Sciences
  • SIF  - Italian Society of Physiology

The central theme will be:
"The importance of the quantitative assessment of outcome for clinical trials, rehabilitation and physical exercise: preparation of guidelines in light of the new possibilities offered by wearable devices".

The discussion will focus on three fundamental questions:

  1. is it time to systematically introduce new quantitative metrics?
  2. What are the main obstacles (scientific, regulators, technological, cultural)?
  3. What strategies to adopt to transform these innovations into tools to support clinic and sport?
