Europe Day of Languages ​​- From Europe to Sardinia: languages ​​that leave their mark

The  september 26th  we celebrate the  European Language Day , an annual occasion promoted by the Council of Europe and the European Commission to enhance the  linguistic diversity
This year the theme chosen is "Languages ​​Open Hearts and Minds", which highlights how languages ​​are not only communication tools, but emotional and cognitive bridges through which to develop mutual understanding, empathy and respect for different cultures.

The European Language Day 2025 will be celebrated with an event " From Europe to Sardinia: languages ​​that leave their mark ", promoted by Europe Direct Sardinia Region in collaboration with the CDE of the University of Cagliari and the  CDE of the University of Sassari and the Europe Direct team.
