Specialista in scienze infermieristiche ed ostetriche Graduates may engage in nursing / midwifery management functions in health care facilities operating in the Services and Departments of Nursing and Obstetrics of the Hospitals and residential or local structures such as RSA and Hospice in different sectors of their articulation; as part of risk management, quality and corporate credit; in the fields of university education of health professions for the didactic-organizational coordination and how teachers the specific SSD, after completion of bankruptcy proceedings where required
Knowledge and understanding. 1) Area organizzativa, del management e assistenziale (ambito giuridico, economico e organizzativo, processi di programmazione e organizzazione dell’attività assistenziale e sulla gestione del relativo personale). Graduates should be able to: - Interpret the principles of the health care and administrative law in order to understand their application in the management of health services; - Analyze patterns and the organization of health systems, the methods of health planning and financing of healthcare facilities; - Detect and critically evaluate the evolution of assistance relevant to the needs of specific professional figure; - Design and intervene operationally in order to care and complex organizational problems; - To program, manage and evaluate care services from the perspective of quality improvement; - Supervise the assistance related to the specific professional figure and carry out professional counseling actions; - Apply and evaluate the impact of different theoretical models in operations assistance. 2) Area della formazione (ambito della formazione universitaria, pianificazione e gestione dei processi educativi). Graduates should be able to: design, implement and evaluate training activities; develop teaching skills for specific professional figure within the tutorial activities and the internship coordination in basic training, and lifelong. 3) Area della ricerca e socio-psicologica (ambito della ricerca scientifica e delle scienze psico-sociologiche). Graduates should be able to: - Interpreting the epidemiological data to analyze phenomena and complex problems in the health and the interest of nursing and midwifery; - Use statistical methods and research tools, relevant to the professional figure, in clinical care areas, organization and training; - Critically analyze the ethical aspects related to assistance and multi-professional and multi-cultural issues.
Applying knowledge and understanding. 1) Area organizzativa, del management e assistenziale (ambito giuridico, economico e organizzativo, processi di programmazione e organizzazione dell’attività assistenziale e sulla gestione del relativo personale). Graduates should be able to evaluate the performance based on the standards of practice and organizational policies continuously identifying the educational needs in relation to the nature and complexity of the problems and planning and operational strategies to manage, in order to create a professional improvement plan also using appropriate information systems to collect, catalog, and manage information. 2) Area della formazione (ambito della formazione universitaria, pianificazione e gestione dei processi educativi). Graduates should be able to adopt independently effective strategies to continue to learn, formally and informally, throughout the working life through further training courses. 3) Area della ricerca e socio-psicologica (ambito della ricerca scientifica e delle scienze psico-sociologiche). Graduates should be able to identify a problem, conduct a review of the literature, critically analyze the problem and present knowledge, develop a strategy to apply research in practice, facilitate the dissemination of research results.
