Fiorenzo Serra Film Festival Department of Human Sciences and Education of the University, via Zanfarino 62. 3 December 2025 - 4 December 2025 10.30am The eighth edition of the Fiorenzo Serra Film Festival, organized by the Visual Anthropology Laboratory of the Humanitarian Society of Sassari, has this year's theme "Masks, beyond the human, ethnographic rites and traditions" and will host screenings, ethnography masterclasses and the presentation of a book. Projections The finalist films will be screened on 3 and 4 December from 3.30 pm in room O of the Department of Human Sciences and Education of the University, in via Zanfarino 62. Ethnography masterclass Masterclasses by Cristiano Tallè and Felice Tiragallo, professors from the universities of Sassari and Cagliari, will be held on Tuesday 3 December at 10.30 am in the main hall of the Dissuf. Cristiano Tallè will speak on the topic "The art of doing ethnography between method, ethics and commitment", while Falice Tiragallo will speak on the topic: "Visual anthropology: what to do with the images of the caves" On Wednesday 4 December at 10am, again in the main hall of the DISSUF, Alessia Glielmi of the Albertina Academy of Turin will hold a masterclass on the theme "The anthropologist in the field: observation, method and testimonies". Presentation of the new edition of the book Fiorenzo Serra, director and awards ceremony of the Festival On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of "The Last Fist of Earth", a masterpiece by Fiorenzo Serra, the Società Umanitaria-Cineteca Sarda is re-proposing in a renewed edition the volume "Fiorenzo Serra, director" by Gianni Olla, edited by Antonello Zanda and Sergio Naitza, published by Squilibri.
