Tourism Development and Digital Territories Department of Humanities and Social Sciences (Sassari) - Pissarello Hall 21 July 2025 10:30 On Monday, July 21, 2025, at 10:30 AM, the event "Tourism Development and Digital Territories" will take place at the Pissarello Hall of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Sassari (Via Roma 151). This will be an important meeting for the implementing bodies of territorial development programs promoted by the University of Sassari.Prominent figures will participate, including the Magnificent Rector of the University of Sassari, Gavino Mariotti, and the Regional Assessors Franco Cuccureddu (Tourism, Handicrafts, and Commerce) and Giuseppe Meloni(Planning, Budget, Credit, and Territorial Assets). University of Sassari full professors Veronica Camerada and Luca Pulina will also be present.The event represents a crucial opportunity to share development strategies based on data, innovation, and digital technologies. The objective is clear: to focus on the valorization of territorial capital and the strengthening of local governance.Among the main focuses of the meeting are the co-design of e.INS Spoke 2, which has already seen over 50 agreements signed between the University of Sassari and a network of local entities and third-sector organizations. Additionally, experiments already underway in 20 Sardinian municipalities will be presented, including the projects C-WISE, SKET-Monitor, InnTerr, and T3 – Tourism, Technologies, Trends.Finally, the event will be an opportunity to present the results of UNISS research, with particular attention to the study "Tourism under the Lens" and the MAIA platform, a fundamental tool for territorial data analysis and public policy support. It will be an open discussion aimed at promoting new synergies and jointly designing the future of these territories.
