A warmer future world: effects on plankton and pathogens

The conference aims to present the results of the PRIN 2022 "FUTURE" research project which studies the effects of heat waves on the dimensional structure of the planktonic food web and on the abundance of pathogenic and antibiotic-resistant bacteria in an artificial lake and a coastal lagoon in Sardinia. The evidence is important for guiding new management practices in relation to the numerous goods and services provided by these ecosystems considered fragile.
