Roots of Europe - Conference on Monumental Trees - Illorai 20 and 21 November 2025.

November 21st is "National Tree Day", recognized pursuant to art. 1 of Law no. 10 of 14/01/2013, with the aim, through the valorisation and protection of the environment and the arboreal and woodland heritage, to promote policies for reducing emissions, the prevention of hydrogeological instability and the protection of the soil, the improvement of air quality, the valorisation of tree-related traditions in Italian culture and the liveability of urban settlements.

On this special occasion, the Municipality of Illorai, with the patronage of the University of Sassari and Cagliari, is organizing an event of extraordinary importance at the Iscuvudé Park, Illorai - the second largest municipality in Sardinia for the number of monumental trees: the Conference on Monumental Trees and old-growth forests.
