The main objective of the course is to provide, by means of oral lectures and practical activities, an overview on protozoan and helminthic and infections transmitted by oral-faecal route and vector-borne diseases in wild animals, including zoonoses and veterinary public health aspects.
The courses will focus on the biology, epidemiology, host-parasite relationship, interactions between wild and domestic animals. Emphasis will be placed on sampling and diagnosis with classical and advanced molecular parasitological techniques, as well as on most common method of monitoring and control of parasitosis.
