European Researchers' Night 2026: all events

Coordinated by the Third Mission and Placement Office, the University of Sassari is once again partnering in the SHARPER (SHAring Researches' Passion for Enhanced Roadmaps) project for 2026, an initiative involving 15 Italian cities. The program features a wide range of activities designed to spread scientific culture throughout the city and the surrounding area through diverse and original forms of interaction with the public in informal settings—including exhibits, interactive and playful workshops, popular science talks, debates, science cafés/aperitifs, and other initiatives fostering active citizen engagement.

The main event will take place at the Eugenio Tavolara Pavilion in Sassari on Friday, September 25, 2026, with activities running from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM; however, additional events are scheduled for the days leading up to and the weeks following the main date in Sassari and other municipalities across northern Sardinia, particularly in collaboration with local schools. The events of September 25 will conclude between 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM in the University’s nearby *Aula Magna* (Great Hall) with a session featuring theoretical physicist and science communicator Riccardo Azzali.

On the morning of Thursday, September 24, 2026, SHARPER’s scientific exhibits and interactive workshops were opened to visits from primary and lower secondary schools.
