The specialization course for support teachers ends 29 May 2026 The specialization path for educational support activities for pupils with special needs organized by the University of Sassari is nearing its conclusion, involving a total of 173 students divided between the different school levels: 27 for primary school, 48 for lower secondary school and 98 for upper secondary school. The training activities, which began in September, took place mainly on weekends at the premises of the Department of History, Human Sciences and Education (DISSUF) under the direction of Professor Filippo Dettori, with a program designed to allow the students - many of whom were already engaged in teaching - to combine study and work. The specialization path included a structured educational and training program, characterized by a strong balance between theoretical preparation and field experience. In particular, the course included 270 hours of academic lectures, 75 hours of laboratories dedicated to new technologies, 180 hours of disciplinary laboratories, 150 hours of direct internship in the classrooms and a further 75 hours of reflection and re-elaboration of the internship experience. The final specialization exams will be held between the end of May and the first days of June in front of a commission made up of course teachers and school managers designated by the Ministry of Education and Merit. The participation of the students was constant and particularly active throughout the training course, allowing all those enrolled to access the final test. The initiative confirms the commitment of the University of Sassari in training highly qualified professional figures, capable of promoting an increasingly inclusive school, attentive to the educational needs of students and oriented towards valorising differences.
