Monuments open at the University of Sassari

The University of Sassari also took part this year in "Open Monuments", an event organized by the Municipality of Sassari which has reached its twentieth edition in the city.

The weekend of 2 and 3 May will give citizens the opportunity to visit the main places of interest (including little-known pearls) with the traditional involvement of the schools, from which the students who will take care of the guided tours come. Participating are the "Marconi" Scientific and Linguistic High School, the "Spano" Scientific High School, the "Azuni" Classical, Musical and Dance High School, the "M. Di Castelvì" High School, the "Figari" Artistic High School, the Canopoleno National Boarding School, the "G. M. Angioy" Industrial Technical Institute, the Professional Institute for Food and Wine and Hotel Hospitality Services, and the Education Institute. “G. M. Devilla” High School, “Farina-San Giuseppe” Comprehensive Institute, “Pertini-Biasi” Comprehensive Institute, “Latte Dolce Agro” Comprehensive Institute, “Pasquale Tola” Comprehensive Institute, “Monte Rosello Alto” Comprehensive Institute, “Kennedy” Higher Educational Institute and Daughters of Mary Institute.

The University of Sassari will make it usable Central building and the Botanical Garden , thanks to the collaboration of the University's Third Mission and Territory Office.

Information and timetables. For the entire duration of the event, the information point in Piazza Castello will remain open on Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 9pm. Unless otherwise indicated, the monuments will be open to visitors for free on Saturday 2nd from 5pm to 9pm and Sunday 3rd from 10am to 9pm. Visits in churches will be suspended during religious functions. Guided tours with LIS interpreting service for the deaf are available, with a meeting point on Saturday 2 May at 4pm in Piazza Castello and on Sunday 3 at 10am and 3pm in Piazza d'Italia.
