Social housing in Sardinia: workshop in Alghero 16 April 2026 The workshop on social housing underway in Alghero in the former Asilo Sella will end on Friday 17th at 10:00. The initiative on social housing was born from the collaboration between the University of Sassari – Department of Architecture, Design and Urbanism (protagonist is the Master's degree course in Planning and Policies for the City, the Environment and the Landscape) and the Master in Ingénierie de la Maîtrise d'Œuvre Architecturale et Urbaine (IMOAU) at the Université Paris Est "Gustave Eiffel". This is an event of international caliber, thanks to the presence of students from Italy, France, Germany, Tunisia, Algeria, Cameroon, Senegal, Madagascar, Chile. The aim of the workshop is to study the technical, economic, urban planning and architectural feasibility of social housing interventions in six places in Sardinia - Cagliari, Sassari, Alghero, Nuoro, Porto Torres, Macomer - for different types of users: students, families, separated parents, elderly population, integrated with services and economic activities. The teachers are Patrick Corda, Marc Everbecq, Denis Morand, tutor Rachele Recanatini for the IMOAU Master; Alessandra Casu and Giuseppe Onni, Maurizio Serra tutor for the University of Sassari. During the final presentation on Friday, the results of the workshop will be taken stock. The appointment is at 10:00 in the former Asilo Sella, on Lungomare Garibaldi.
