Architecture students in class on the streets of Ittiri 17 March 2026 In recent days, the initiative entitled "The streets of trachyte" saw around sixty students from the Survey and Modeling of Built Heritage course of the Department of Architecture, Design and Urban Planning of the University of Sassari animate the streets of Ittiri for an important educational activity in the field. The future architects and designers were engaged in the observation and critical analysis of the urban fabric, with architectural relief of local details and a specific focus on the famous trachyte portals, a symbol of Ichtyra's identity and craftsmanship. The day represents the natural continuation of "Ittiri. The streets of trachyte", the consultancy work developed by the GRAVIS research group (Laboratory of Graphic and Visual Sciences) led by professor Enrico Cicalò, as part of the CorosVivo project. Research is thus transformed into action, bringing students into direct contact with the subject and the history of the territory to learn how to enhance and preserve it.
