Statuti di Sassari

On Thursday, October 15, starting at 5:30 PM, the Teatro Civico will host the presentation of the book *Statuti di Sassari. Edizione critica a fronte dei testi logudorese e latino* (Statutes of Sassari: Critical Edition with Facing Logudorese and Latin Texts) by Michela Del Savio. Admission to the event is free.

The volume is the result of a collaboration between the Municipal Historical Archive and the Department of History, Human Sciences, and Education—established under a memorandum of understanding between the Municipality of Sassari and the University of Sassari—and marks the conclusion of the three-year project "The Statutes of Sassari: Critical Edition of the Logudorese and Latin Texts. Language, History, and Culture of a Medieval Sardinian City." The presentation offers an opportunity to share the project's findings with the public while highlighting and increasing access to an important documentary heritage, thereby fostering greater knowledge and awareness of Sassari's historical and cultural legacy.

The 1316 manuscripts, housed in the Municipal Historical Archive, are now finally made accessible to both specialists and the general public through a scholarly edition of both ancient texts.

The book will be presented by Attilio Bartoli Langeli—formerly a professor of Paleography and Diplomatics at the universities of Perugia, Venice, Padua, and Rome II—and by the editor Michela Del Savio, a Romance philologist and researcher at the University of Sassari.

This event represents a significant moment for sharing the results of a strictly scientific research project with the community.
