Conference on cork oak in Alà dei Sardi

The "Don Addis" Multipurpose Center in Alà dei Sardi (SS) will host the next one june 19th  the conference " The cork oak: challenges and prospects between conservation, innovation and valorization ”.  The event, sponsored by the Municipality of Alà dei Sardi, is promoted by Agris Sardegna in close collaboration with the Forestas Agency, the University of Sassari and the Forestry and Environmental Supervision Corps.

Cork, strategic resource for the environment, economy and identity of the territory , will be at the center of this meeting which is proposed as a important opportunity for dialogue and discussion between institutions, academia and industry experts to analyze the innovation , the sustainability and the safeguard of the cork trees and delve deeper into the future of the cork supply chain . The program includes a round table which will see the participation of producers, trade associations and representatives of regional departments and bodies.

The work will focus on  technical-scientific reports  focused on the main challenges of the sector:

• the management of phytosanitary emergencies;
• new governance models;
• technological innovation;
• cork quality standards.

Participation is extended to citizens, all operators in the sector and professionals interested in discovering the dynamics and prospects of the supply chain.
