PRESS RELEASE

SASSARI. An agreement was signed in recent days in Sassari between the Customs and Monopolies Agency and the University of Sassari, aimed at carrying out curricular internships by university students.

The agreement was signed at the Rectorate by the Regional Director of ADM for Sardinia, Gianluigi D’Urso, and the Rector of the University of Sassari, Gavino Mariotti.

The agreement represents an important opportunity for students, who will be able to approach the world of work through a training experience within a prominent institutional context, acquiring specific and professionalizing skills in the sectors of interest to the Agency (Customs, Excise, Gaming and Tobacco).

The three-year agreement establishes curricular training and orientation internships lasting no more than 12 months. Training internships are open to people aged sixteen or over who have fulfilled their compulsory education requirements. The internship is carried out on the basis of a training project agreed between the promoting entity (University), the hosting entity (ADM) and the intern that defines the training objectives to be achieved, as well as the methods of implementation.

Gavino Mariotti and Gianluigi D’Urso expressed full satisfaction with the goal achieved, underlining the importance of this agreement as the first step in a common path. Both institutions expressed their willingness to further strengthen cooperation in the future, with the aim of promoting new shared initiatives for the benefit of students and the territory.
