Cantina del Rimedio of Oristano was elected Winery of the Year at the recent Vinitaly 2025. Best winery of the year, therefore, and, in addition to the merits of the product itself, behind this success there is a name: Roberto Puggioni, winemaker of the winery, “revolutionary” since his arrival in 2017. A degree in Wine, Oenological and Food Technologies at the University of Sassari, at the Consorzio Uno of Oristano, he wanted to change the approach to this highly traditional wine but - says Puggioni - complicated to drink, pair, consume and with very particular characteristics. More trust, therefore, towards the alternative versions which, with four different labels (Aristanis, Terresinis, Junghissa, sparkling wines and classic method Aristanis, elected best sparkling wine), offers valid variations and, consequently offering - precisely - a different approach to Vernaccia leads to an increase in sales and consumption.
