PNRR - PhD

The University of Sassari has benefited from PNRR funds earmarked for PhDs granted by the Ministry of Universities and Research under the "NextGenerationEU’ programme".

Ministerial Decree No. 351 of 9 April 2022 made it possible, for the year 2022/2023, to finance, under the PNRR, Mission 4, Component 1 ‘Strengthening the supply of education services: from kindergartens to universities’ - Investment 3.4 ‘Advanced university teaching and skills’ and Investment 4.1 ‘Expanding the number of PhDs and innovative PhDs for public administration and cultural heritage’, a total of 25 scholarships:

- 1 scholarship on PhDs dedicated to digital and environmental transitions;

- 12 scholarships on PNRR PhDs;

- 10 scholarships on innovative PhDs for Public Administration;

- 2 scholarships on innovative PhDs for Cultural Heritage.
 

Ministerial Decree No. 352 of 9 April 2022, on the other hand, made it possible, for the year 2022/2023, to finance, under the PNRR, Mission 4, Component 2 ‘From Research to Enterprise’ - Investment 3.3 ‘Introduction of innovative doctorates that respond to the innovation needs of enterprises and promote the recruitment of researchers by enterprises’, a total of 8 scholarships in collaboration with local, national and foreign enterprises.

Ministerial Decree No. 118 of 2 March 2023 made it possible, for the year 2023/2024, to finance, under the PNRR, Mission 4, Component 1 ‘Enhancement of the supply of education services: from kindergartens to universities’ - Investment 3.4 ‘Advanced university teaching and skills’ and Investment 4.1 ‘Extension of the number of PhDs and innovative PhDs for public administration and cultural heritage’, a total of 36 scholarships:

- 21 scholarships on PNRR PhDs;

- 12 scholarships on innovative PhDs for Public Administration;

- 3 scholarships on innovative PhDs for Cultural Heritage.

In addition, thanks to the funds provided by Ministerial Decree 118/2023, it was also possible to fund on Doctorates of National Interest and PhD courses in agreement

- 4 scholarships on Doctorates dedicated to digital and environmental transitions;

- 2 scholarships on PNRR PhDs;

- 8 scholarships on innovative PhDs for Public Administration;

- 1 scholarship on innovative PhDs for Cultural Heritage.

Ministerial Decree No. 117 of 2 March 2023, on the other hand, made it possible, for the year 2023/2024, to finance, under the PNRR, Mission 4, Component 2 ‘From Research to Enterprise’ - Investment 3.3 ‘Introduction of innovative doctorates that meet the innovation needs of enterprises and promote the recruitment of researchers by enterprises’, a total of 9 scholarships in collaboration with local, national and foreign enterprises.

Ministerial Decree No. 629 of 24 April 2024 allowed, for the year 2024/2025, to finance, under the PNRR, Mission 4, Component 1 ‘Strengthening the supply of education services: from kindergartens to universities’ - Investment 3.4 ‘Advanced university teaching and skills’ and Investment 4.1 ‘Extending the number of PhDs and innovative PhDs for public administration and cultural heritage’, a total of 6 scholarships:

- 1 scholarship on PNRR PhDs;

- 4 scholarships on innovative PhDs for Public Administration;

- 1 scholarship on Innovative Doctorates for Cultural Heritage.

Ministerial Decree no. 630 of 24 April 2024 allowed, for the year 2024/2025, to finance, under the PNRR, Mission 4, Component 2 ‘From Research to Enterprise’ - Investment 3.3 ‘Introduction of innovative doctorates that meet the innovation needs of enterprises and promote the recruitment of researchers from enterprises’, a total of 25 scholarships in collaboration with local, national and foreign enterprises.

In compliance with ministerial provisions, the document is published to reconcile all administrative acts issued pertaining to doctoral scholarships awarded under the PNRR, and in particular under Mission 4, Component 1, Investments 3.4 and 4.1 and Mission 4, Component 2, Investment 3.3 of the PNRR - XXXVIII and XXXIX Cycles, with the corresponding CUPs, as indicated in the decrees granting the funding and as shown in the attached Table A.
