JoVE: Online Training Sessions for UNISS Faculty and Users

Webinar online
-

We have scheduled a series of online training sessions aimed at providing faculty with the necessary skills to make the most of the JoVE resource made available by the University Library Service.

  • January 25th at 4:00 PM - Webinar on the design of Cell and Molecular Biology courses, featuring Prof. Tringali from the University of Milan Statale. She will share her valuable experience in using the JoVE platform and integrating videos for educational purposes in the context of cell and molecular biology. Her participation will undoubtedly enrich the understanding of key topics in this field and provide useful insights to enhance teaching practices. We believe this opportunity can be of great benefit to all those involved in these disciplines at your University. [Link to register]
  • Starting from February 1st, every Thursday, there will be two Zoom meetings at 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM, dedicated to using JoVE videos in lectures. Attached is the poster for the event called "Thursdays with JoVE" (you can share it internally). Invitations will also be shared with the Directors of the relevant departments to maximize communication and participation.

Below is the agenda for the "Thursdays with JoVE" sessions:

  • How to search or create a playlist: FRC, files with shared playlists (or shared for the first time during the webinar).
  • How to upload a single video and a playlist to your platform (Moodle, Teams, Google Classroom, etc.).
  • How to create and share a quiz.
  • Count on me: individual support to receive playlists tailored to your curriculum, development of projects to improve student outcomes, and much more!

These sessions are aimed at faculty interested in discovering how to leverage JoVE's scientific videos to enhance their lectures, provide new support tools during remediation or in-depth studies.

The goal is to share quality multimedia material, curated by experts, to enhance the student experience. It will be a valuable opportunity for Uniss faculty and researchers to explore the resources provided by the Library Service, acquire new skills, and expand the available teaching resources.
