The Law in the Face of Advances in Technology

(activity bookable by class at terzamissione@uniss.it)

Conference-debate with Michele Comenale Pinto, Giovanni Pruneddu, Marcella Lamon (UNISS - Dept. of Law), Valeria Massa (Leonardo spa), Gianni Serra (Commander Municipal Police Sassari), Mattia Cavicchio (Guardia di Finanza), Vincenzo Attolino (Navy), Stefano Esposito, Domenico Caputo (Air Force), Gianni Saba (Karel Tecnologie srl). The growing use of unmanned aerial systems and the prospects for commercial use of outer space require a definition of the regulatory legal framework that is moreover functional to ensure the development of the so-called space economy with fair distribution of the benefits that can be derived from it. Moreover, special attention is paid to the risks involved, with a view to a precautionary approach. Thanks to the passion of some young scholars on these issues, an operational synergy has been created with companies (Leonardo) and institutions (Casd, Enac) that share the objectives of research in the sector.
