What is quality?

The University of Sassari has long been committed to fostering a culture of attention to quality, aimed at the continuous improvement of education, research, and the third mission, in line with its mission.

Indeed, the University of Sassari has developed and implemented a Quality Assurance system based on internal procedures for design, management, self-assessment, and improvement. The application of this system is aimed at producing measurable effects on the enhancement of education, research, the third mission, and, more broadly, on all administrative and managerial activities.

The Agency for the Evaluation of the University and Research System (ANVUR) oversees the national public system for assessing the quality of universities and research institutions. It conducts external evaluations of the quality of activities carried out by universities and research institutions receiving public funding, and directs the activities of evaluation units.

Additionally, ANVUR assesses the effectiveness and efficiency of public funding programs and incentives for research and innovation activities.
